About Linville Land Harbor
Linville is a community centered just south of the US 221 and NC 105 intersection in Avery County, North Carolina. The community—at times known as Clay or Porcelain—was founded in 1883 and designed by Samuel T. Kelsey of Kansas, and named for William and John Linville, who were killed by Cherokees in 1766. The East Tennessee and Western North Carolina Railroad ("Tweetsie") passed through the community from 1916 until 1940, when a major flood washed away the tracks. The old rail route later became NC 105 in 1956.

Why Choose a vacation rental?

More comfortable than hotel rooms . Family vacations used to include kids bickering over who got what side of the bed and what to watch on the only TV in the hotel room. In a condo rental there may be many TVs, and there will certainly be plenty of beds. Each child might even get her own room. Mom and Dad will definitely get their own room—privacy at last!

Your whole group can stay together . In a hotel, a large family or group of friends will be spread out among several rooms, possibly on different sides of the building. A condo rental lets you all stay together, so everyone is easy to find and include in the fun. You’ll also have more comfortable places to hang out as a group—in the living room, on a patio, or around a dining table.

You can cook at home , if you’d like to. Cooking your own meals can be a big budget saver. You’ll also be able to keep a fridge and cabinets full of snacks, and have access to your favorite coffee at a moment’s notice. Better yet, having access to a kitchen can be a lifesaver when traveling with someone who has special dietary needs.

Cheaper than hotels . Considering that vacation condos generally have 2 or more bedrooms and can comfortably sleep a number of guests a vacation rental home is a great value. Our vacation condos have a fully equipped kitchen for cooking which can save you a lot of money when you consider the costs you can save by cooking your own breakfast, lunch and dinners.

More privacy than a hotel . Most hotel rooms and common facilities (like pools, beaches and lobbies) are jammed with tourists. Rooms tend to be small and often time you can hear a noisy neighbor through the walls. Our vacation rental condos are located on quiet residential streets with their own secluded beach access and private pool. Plus, you vacation home includes a nice living room and outdoor patios where you can relax and enjoy yourself.
